Wonderful food with our fave Mexican beers. Love the decor and neighborhood feel. Friendly staff and great service!
Great food! Nice deck to enjoy a warm day.
Five stars for Francisco (Frank) my regular bartender. Always friendly, genuine, and in good form. I'm frequently in a hurry, and he gets me served and cashed out with the extreme efficiency. I never fail to leave in a better mood than I arrived.
Food was good. Nachos were a little spendy for what you got.
Definitely would return! We are from out of town and really enjoyed the fajitas and service here at Agave Azul!
Very nice food and kind staff! I will be coming back for sure!
Agave Azul is my favorite restaurant. My husband and I have been going there about once a month for the last 10 years. The food is delicious. The staff and owners make you feel extremely welcome. It's like you're part of the family. If you go, get the Carne Asada. It's perfect!
The food is always amazing. I love everything I've tried - it's my go-to restaurant when I get to choose!
The food is delicious. I particularly love the spinach enchilada & Chile rellano. The fried ice cream is like a Sunday with cornflakes and honey. Otherwise a favorite spot!
The staff is really friendly and attentive. I really wanted to like it more than I did. The agave Azul margarita kinda tastes like Baja blast and tequila. Food was pretty good but from the main dining area you could very clearly hear the lottery machine. I will be going back to try out a few more things. Hopefully be able to change this 4 stars into 5.
Fantastic food and service. There enchiladas have the best mole!
The food and service is amazing! The food is so delicious and came out fast. It is a small place but clean.
We tried this place on a whim, and I was really surprised by the food and service. I had the agave azul burrito, and it was a large plate with a delicious big burrito. The server checked on us fairly regularly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Would try again.
Love this place, the owner is a great guy! Food is awesome
We stopped here hoping for the best, but it was not so good. The service was pretty slow, the enchilada meals were incredibly salty. They did discount our meal, which was kind. Heads up...no chips and salsa are served. The chili relleno and whole pinto beans were good.
Excellent home made fresh food. Definitely go here. A new family stop after coming down from the mountain!!
This place is legit! Some of the best Mexican food in have had. Feels like sitting at the dining table at home with mom's (if my mom was Mexican) cooking. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. 10/10 would recommend.
Great food good service good people
Great little spot for great Mexican food on the far eastside of town.
The burrito and beans for an appetizer instead of chips was no good. The only got one burrito with beans in it. The Pola Alec cream was subpar. I will not be going back
Really enjoyed lunch here the other day! Margaritas were delicious and the bean appetizer they gave us was also great. I ordered the veggie fajitas and loved them! Great seasoning on the veggies and a huge portion! My friend ordered the Chile relleno plate and also really enjoyed it! A bit expensive compared to other Mexican restaurants but worth it for the great flavor of the items and fast service
Outstanding food and service! We arrived late at 8pm but enjoyed no rush service with time to look over the authentic Mexican entrees. This is not an assembly line production. Our waiter might have been an owner that took the time to explain the delicious sauces.
Great food and wonderful service!
Very good food and service
Great food! I would definitely come back here.
By far my favorite restaurant. Tucked away just off the main road, great service and the best Authentic Hispanic food!
It's not very friendly for having mediocre food.
Great food and service!
Lovely, and very small place to eat. the atmosphere was clean and pleasant. We loved how they started you with a tortilla with beans rather than the traditional chips and salsa. I ordered a burrito that was so enormous it lasted me 3 days! The food that we ordered similar to what you would find at most other restaurants. Our food took awhile to arrive. We were there at 5:15 on a Friday night. When it finally came out food was hot and fresh.
Had the mole enchiladas and they were great. A perfect way to start a trip to Mt. Hood for the 2017 HTC!
This place is wonderful! The servers and waitresses are so friendly. The atmosphere and welcoming. This has always been my go-to place for a pick-me-up dinner.
Love this place! Amazing food, good service and decent prices, one of our favorites!
This quaint place is extremely good! I was looking for something in the area authentic. It did not disappoint!! The chili Rellano is amazing! Definitely will go back. Poncho (Franchesco) was very attentive and service was excellent!!! We will be back.
Very good food, good prices, very good service and close to home!!
First time dining at Agave Azul tonight. Best value in the area! Food was far above average. Portion size & quality was excellent! The nachos were the best I've ever had and the enchiladas were out of this world. Family like service in a comfortable environment.
Amazing food. Some of the best dine in Mexican Food I’ve had in Oregon. Authentic, large portions, awesome service!
Francisco vive us the best costumer service ever great job fransisco good food defenely we are coming back👌
Good food, reasonable price, nice people, fast service.
Another hidden gem in Gresham . If you going on a first date great place well put together . Small cozy and I love the tortilla shells and beans and cheese when you sit down . House margarita s are perfect order that first . Go big .
The food was great. Our party had a spicy shrimp dish, and fajitas. All were excellent. The restaurant is (I think) a house that has been converted into a restaurant, so it has a nice cozy feel - like you're having dinner in someone's dining room. Small and cozy and friendly people. I also had a margarita - it was delicious too! Fried ice cream at the end for dessert and the whole experience was just wonderful. We were all full - stuffed! - by the time we left. I will definitely go back!
Good Mexican food. Reasonably priced.
Always a great experience. A lovely restaurant with outstanding food and service.
Nice, small restaurant. Food was fresh and plentiful and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Ordered the shrimp plate and couldn't finish it! Fantastic and hope to come back soon.
We arrived at 11:45am in the mood for a Mexican Breakfast. We're from San Diego and accustomed to delicious Mexican food and Mexican brunch is a favorite weekend treat. We were initially disappointed to hear that they didn't serve breakfast until we were offered Coffee and when we asked for scrambled eggs with our Vegitarian Fajitas they graciously agreed. The Vegitarian Fajitas were so tasty cooked and seasoned perfectly. Every single component to the meal was fresh and delicious. Although this was not technically a breakfast dish I assure you that we were not missing anything from this meal. The coffee wasn't too strong or too weak. We walked away so very happy with our meal and now we know that they serve fantastic Mexican food with friendly service.
I've been trying 'Authentic Mexican' places around town for a while. This place wasn't 'authentic'. Food is no different than your average typical American/Mexican. Shrimp fajitas were mostly onions with very little peppers and the worst part... They leave the tails on the Shrimp! Who wants to pull each tail off my hand and pick through their food?!? Not me! Not anyone else I know. Then we go on to drinks...I should kept to my gut feeling telling me the margaritas would not be good. We did try 2. Horrible! Nothing but Well Tequila and BOTTLED MIX!?.Nasty! Why even bother putting a fresh lime? That's definitely not an authentic margarita at all!Won't be back... very disappointed. When you spend well 50$ dollars. The food and drinks should reflect that. I will continue to drive the distance to Milwaukee, where at Casa Da Tamales everything is Authentic and Fresh.
Great authentic Mexican food with excellent service
This is when I was little secret treasures when you live in town. It's nestled in a residential area. my favorite is the tortillas you get while you wait. And they have really good outdoor seating which, in good weather, is such a treat.
Had my first experience the other day. Was not let down. This little place has it all great food, drinks and service.
This is a hidden gem in Portland. Its tucked away but worth the map quest! It's small and cozy, family owned, the food is fresh and very good. They are very busy, atleast they have been every time we have gone. Service is good and personable. Price is pretty average. Portion size could be a bit larger. I wouldn't go if you are in a hurry. On the other hand is really delicious. 🌮🌮🌮
I had Nachos and they were very good and it was a lot! My friends enjoyed their meals as well. I also had a HUGE Cadillac Margarita! Yummy!
